The hemp industry is facing new technologies to help with processing hemp stalks for small-scale seed and flower growers who are looking to monetize on the leftover stems from their harvests.
The HurdMaster Micro Decorticator is a fiber processing unit developed by Industrial Hemp Latvia intended for farms under 10 acres and priced at $11,500.
The first of the machines will be sold to customers who are willing to donate a second machine to a humanitarian project which would help in providing shelter and jobs through the expansive use of hempcrete construction.
As with any technology the micro decorticator will be improved by boosting efficiency, improving the quality of the technical fiber product output and a bigger model decorticator.
